At Undead Labs, we’ve always prided ourselves on listening to our community. In fact, we had a community supporting us before we had a published game and we’ve never forgotten that. One of the best parts of remaining an independently run studio over the years has been this: our designers and developers are right in the mix with you. As our players, you can talk to us directly and know you’re being heard. Usually, we celebrate our close-knit ties with a Superfan event. But this year, we want to do more because we think there is more we can and should be doing, together. So we’re forgoing the annual Superfan event for a Community Summit. We’ve invited six members of our community, chosen from our site’s forums and from Steam’s, to meet with our community and leadership teams. The goal is to find ways together that we can double-down on our support in the future. To select your ambassadors, we looked for those who: Consistently engaged with the community. Had a track record of providing constructive, substantive feedback about our games, policies, or community management. Whether positive or negative, what we valued was reasoned, rational dialogue with ourselves and fellow community members. Constructive critiques counted for as much or more than praise. Bonus: The candidate added value to the overall community experience. This could be creating strategy guides, providing homebrew illustrations or maps, you name it. Basically, they contributed stuff for everybody to enjoy. Our entire community is filled with passionate gamers. It was very difficult to choose from that exceptional pool. We know it’s not always easy, but you stick with us and give us the opportunity to do right by you. We appreciate that and promise never to forget it. These six players will be joining us in Seattle during late August for a few days. While they’re here, they’ll be helping us find new ways to meet our community’s needs. Without further ado, here are your 2015 Community Ambassadors! Without you, we wouldn’t be able to continue making the games we all love. We hope to do this again in the future and meet even more of you. So if you weren’t chosen this time around, don’t worry. It could be you next time!
