Do I need to repack my XML changes?

Discussion in 'PC Mods' started by Shomey, Oct 18, 2017.

  1. I used QBMS to extract every pack in the YOSE folder. Am I correct that for most gameplay changes I`m looking at the \game\libs\class3.1\rts XML filess? I would like to add some characters and some changes to the zombies(make hordes a lot bigger).

I`m kinda lost what to do with the edited files. Do I need to repack them with xml2bdm?

    Thanks in advance

When you extract you should see .win.bmd files alongside the .xml's, anything that has an associated .win.bmd will need the xml to be compiled. Mostly the stuff in the scripts folder can stay xml and everything else will need compiling.
XML2BMD doesn't work too well with really long file paths you if you have an issue with it not working firstly try doing it on the desktop or C:\tmp for example.
