One bite infection mod (request or help)

    So when the survivor gets bitten do they move injured, and change pale? If that's not happening then there's a problem. Whenever your survivor is bitten you can continue to play as that survivor until they eventually die on you, or switch to another survivor and watch them die(or recover.) Explain to me what happens when they're bit.

    nope, they just got the injured state and heal normally, no sickness at all

    The way it's setup the survivor should have the red wounded thumbnail in the journal. You won't see any indication of sickness until they die. You say they heal, has anyone died as an event from being bitten?

    no, nobody has died from black fever, they got pale yeah, but they heal from the wound normally, no sickness and strange stuff at all

    also, theres a way to add more zeds to plagues?

    ok, it is working, they got pale after battling zombies, but they heal... hey, my infirmary is the best lol

    Glad to hear its working. Had a flood at home that destroyed my computer. If you have a fully upgraded infirmary it's more likely they will heal.

    now i have a problem, my modderd hordesize just stopped working, im getting a lame 10 zombie horde passing trough levels :/

    I really want to play with the black fever mod but i dont know where to get the files and how to install it. Can somebody explain to me how it workss? :)

    Check the sandbox.xml file. Were you going up another level? Also, did the blackfever bite ever work?

    Hi, if you follow the thread it will tell you how to create the mod yourself since it was never really released. If you have any questions while making the mod, feel free to ask.

    I'm actually trying to get this to work in my game but I'm not sure where to put the rtsevents and characters files? Are those the only two things I'll need to get it to work like you did?

    Hi tobu, so i have been off the game for a while, but i realized that the xmls you send me arent compatible with my modded game :D, most exactly with the sandbox.bmd that i modified so i can get huge hordes, any ideas of what is going on?, the horde max size resets to default

    Strange because Sandbox handles that. The two files I modded don't affect that. Maybe recheck your sandbox.xml, make sure the next level has the desired horde size, move on to the next level, and see if those results work.

    or maybe the survive mod does that thing...anyway i found a solution, put those mods after i have moved the level so i can put them while the level was already modded

    You can play with the "alt Odds" in the rtsevents.xml file.

    First we'll deal with injury.
    Find the line:
    <Event Id="fsEvent.RecoverFromInjury">

    Under that a couple of lines down you should see:

    <Alt AltId="Heal_InfirmaryC" AltOdds="25" />
    <Alt AltId="Heal_InfirmaryB" AltOdds="25" />
    <Alt AltId="Heal_Infirmary" AltOdds="25" />
    <Alt AltId="Heal_NoInfirmary" AltOdds="0" />

    Simply increase those numbers.

    If you want to reduce the bad outcomes you can find these "AltOdds" several lines down:

    <Alt AltId="BlackFeverAttack" AltOdds="50" />
    <Alt AltId="Fail_Grave" AltOdds="50" />
    <Alt AltId="Fail_GraveBF" AltOdds="50" />
    <Alt AltId="Fail_GraveBFTurned" AltOdds="50" />
    <Alt AltId="Fail_GraveMercyShot" AltOdds="100" />
    <Alt AltId="Fail_NoMedicine" AltOdds="50" />
    <Alt AltId="Fail_HighestInfirmary" AltOdds="50" />
    <Alt AltId="Fail_LowInfirmary" AltOdds="50" />
    <Alt AltId="Fail_NoInfirmary" AltOdds="100" />

    Simply reduce those numbers to your liking. That should reduce the death or black fever results.


    Now we have to do the same thing for sickness.
    Find the line:

    i have a problem, some of the alts are missing in my rts events, like <Alt AltId="BlackFeverAttack" AltOdds="50" /> and

    Hey, and how do you edit the suicide outcomes? now when i enter the game they always take their life when sick :/
